MEET DR. BINHLAM

Board Certified Dermatologist

A native of Kentucky, John Q. Binhlam, MD, FAAD, received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University (VU) in Computer Science and Mathematics. He then felt the call to pursue medicine, which led him to the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Binhlam later completed his Internal Medicine residency at Indiana University before returning to VU to pursue his subspecialty residency in Medical and Surgical Dermatology. Dr. Binhlam is an active mentor and educator of medical students, residents, and other physicians. He has served in various societal leadership positions; most notably, as past-President of the Nashville Dermatology Society, the Tennessee Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the national American Society of Mohs Surgery. As a strong advocate for patient health and rights, he regularly participates in lobbying efforts on behalf of the American Academy of Dermatology Association and the One Voice Against Cancer Coalition. In his spare time, Dr. Binhlam is a golf hacker; yet, remains supremely dedicated to his four-legged child, a spunky Westie, Abby Sugarpie.

Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Technician and Phlebotomist

Christy is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Technician, and Phlebotomist.  She received her license in 2006 after graduating top in her class at Georgia Career Institute.  She has been practicing for the past 16 years as the lead aesthetician in medical aesthetic centers. Her passion for helping people and lifting their self-esteem fuels her desire to provide result-driven skin care.  HydraFacials, DermaPlaning, MircoDermabrasion, Advanced Chemical Peels, MicroNeedling, PRP Collagen Therapy, Laser Hair Removal, Laser Rejuvenation, and Noninvasive Body Contouring are some of her many skills.  She brings to our practice a unique combination of personal compassion and caring along with a wealth of knowledge and experience.  Christy enjoys servicing her guest by establishing a treatment program and an at home product regimen to help them achieve their optimal skin beauty and wellness. Christy believes that investing in your skin is a benefit that lasts a lifetime.  In her free time, Christy enjoys the outdoors, travel, and quality time with her husband and daughter.
